Just buy a baby bird and treat him/her like a friend.

when my bird was little he used to play fetch with a toothpick, but he only ran after it then he would just stand there or pick it up and ran away with it.

Those toys are to find, so it should be possible to find them online somewhere. They are all made in the same factory in Hong Kong.

That is a great toy that our budgie would surely love, especially since it is yellow... Perhaps with a toy like that, we would finally be successful in teaching him to "fetch" correctly! He does "fetch" some objects to a certain extent, but will not give them back!

How do you get your bird so tamed? Most birds go crazy if you get too close.

Clipped? Who is clipped?Sven is a happy, natural, bird. I would never dream of clipping him.
